Our client, a reputable company in hay production business with over 12,000 membership from small scale farmers and more than a 1,000 acres of plantation field is looking to fill the position of a Store Keeper who will report to the Farm Manager.
Salary: Ksh. 15,000 – 20,000
Job Purpose / Summary:
The Store Keeper shall be responsible for storing, recording and maintaining required levels of farm supplies and equipment for the efficient running of the Farm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Store and release supplies or equipment
- Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received. Checking the supplies from time to time
- Record the number and the kinds of supplies and produce
- Disseminate the produce and stock of equipment and chemicals in designated areas.
- Fills supply requisitions; assists buyer to order adequate merchandise and supplies; delivers orders to faculty and staff
- Securing the status of stocks in the store
- Checking possible damages or scratches on the produce
- Handle and document storage and transportation of hazardous material
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confident
Required Qualifications
- KCSE with minimum grade C+.
- Diploma in Business Management or relevant field
- Minimum 2 years store keeping work experience
